FAQ and not so faq

Important thing #1: I don’t really have drawing skills.  But I DO have what i think is a cool story, with some cool and funny events along the way and using webcomic as my medium.  I’ve never drawn (drawwed?) before so I’m not trying to be an artist, Im just trying to get my skills up to the point that the message can be transmitted effectively.  Look at the 1-18 comics to see what I mean.  initially the doodles were enough to convey what I was trying to say.  but as the message, and story. became more lush and elegant, the delivery needed to be also.  Hopefully one day it will be.

Important thing #2:  The layout still needs tons of work.  Trust me it used to be worse

Lesser important things:

  • What does Inizio mean? – it’s Italian, look it up 🙂
  • Are the characters real? – yes and no.  they are inspired by real life people,  and drawn somewhat similar.  But modified to fit the story, and most of them get new names.
  • Are the scenarios real? – same as above.  Based on real life events, but modified for the story and continuity.  The entire comic is influenced by real life, there’s a story I want to tell, and I’m using the things around me as component parts.
  • Why is this so bloody slow??? – Please refer to Important thing #1.  When I can produce them faster, I will.
  • What the hell is going on?/Your comic confuses me../Is this going anywhere?  –  it’s life, does anyone really know? – I’m sorry to hear that, pm me and I’ll give you my shrink’s contact info – Yes, yes it is.  Just hang in there with it and I’ll try to make the ride enjoyable.
  • You’re so [great/awful] and I’m very [attractive/irritated], how do I contact you? – best bet is to post a comment after one of the comics.  they’re moderated so I’ll get the notice in my email.

Some additional notes:

I’ve recently started using a Cintiq 12wx.  Its fantastically fun, but its also very new.  I’ve been using Gimp but started, with the pad, to try Manga Studio.  So far I like drawing in Manga Studio – but I’m not happy with the comics I’ve produced there.  more practice perhaps.
